Essas empresas incluem lojas de departamentos, redes de venda a prazo, vendas por correspond\u00eancia e fabricantes de maquin\u00e1rio e equipamento variados (por exemplo, maquin\u00e1rio agr\u00edcola, caminh\u00f5es e equipamentos de escrit\u00f3rio). Grande parte desse neg\u00f3cio de parcelamento \u00e9 realizado por meio de financeiras que adiantam recursos contra as notas ou garantias do vendedor. Com frequ\u00eancia, as contas a receber de uma empresa de manufatura s\u00e3o vendidas \u00e0 financeira com um &#8220;<\/em>acordo de recompra<em>&#8220;, caso em que nem as contas a receber nem a d\u00edvida com a financeira aparecem diretamente no balan\u00e7o da empresa, e s\u00e3o referidas apenas em uma nota de rodap\u00e9.
