Na quarta-feira, 16 de fevereiro, ele j&aacute; havia crescido para R$ 4,3 bilh&otilde;es. Ao divulgar os resultados, Celso Antunes da Costa, diretor-superintendente do banco, mostrou s&oacute; os dados de novembro e dezembro.<br \/> \t&nbsp;<br \/> \t&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p> \t<span style=\"font-size: 12px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Ele explicou, candidamente, que o balancete do terceiro trimestre n&atilde;o &eacute; para ser levado a s&eacute;rio. &ldquo;Publicamos porque fomos obrigados, mas n&atilde;o fazemos nenhuma compara&ccedil;&atilde;o com os resultados dos exerc&iacute;cios anteriores, pois eles s&atilde;o inconsistentes&rdquo;, disse Costa.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p> \t<span style=\"font-size: 12px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p> \t<span style=\"font-size: 12px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Depois de passar tr&ecirc;s meses torturando os n&uacute;meros, os executivos conclu&iacute;ram que os dados que vinham sendo divulgados nos &uacute;ltimos anos n&atilde;o valiam o papel em que eram impressos.<br \/> \t&nbsp;<br \/> \t&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p> \t<span style=\"font-size: 12px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">&ldquo;Acreditamos que a fraude tenha come&ccedil;ado a ser montada em 2005 ou 2006 e se ampliou ap&oacute;s a crise financeira de 2008&rdquo;, disse Costa. O fato de a auditoria n&atilde;o ter percebido um problema de R$ 4,3 bilh&otilde;es incomoda algu&eacute;m?<br \/> \t&nbsp;<br \/> \t&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p> \t<span style=\"font-size: 12px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Incomoda, sim: <strong>o Banco Central (BC). O inqu&eacute;rito sobre o caso do banco que pertencia a Silvio Santos indica que a Deloitte n&atilde;o adotou procedimentos adequados para detectar a fraude e as&nbsp; suas responsabilidades est&atilde;o sendo apuradas<\/strong>. O BC n&atilde;o comenta o inqu&eacute;rito.<br \/> \t&nbsp;<br \/> \t&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p> \t<span style=\"font-size: 12px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">A Deloitte tamb&eacute;m n&atilde;o fala. Na &eacute;poca da divulga&ccedil;&atilde;o dos primeiros problemas, o s&oacute;cio Maur&iacute;cio Pires Resende declarou que a empresa havia sido convocada pelo BC no dia 9 de novembro para obter mais informa&ccedil;&otilde;es da administra&ccedil;&atilde;o do banco e buscar uma solu&ccedil;&atilde;o para o caso.<br \/> \t&nbsp;<br \/> \t&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p> \t<span style=\"font-size: 12px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Procurado por DINHEIRO, Resende manteve o sil&ecirc;ncio. A Deloitte limitou-se a enviar um comunicado n&atilde;o assinado por nenhum executivo dizendo que &ldquo;refuta as acusa&ccedil;&otilde;es do BC&rdquo; e que &ldquo;conduziu todos os procedimentos recomendados na auditoria realizada para o banco PanAmericano.&rdquo;<br \/> \t&nbsp;<br \/> \t&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p> \t<span style=\"font-size: 12px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Al&eacute;m disso, a empresa informou que havia uma fraude maci&ccedil;a no banco, elaborada pela administra&ccedil;&atilde;o para enganar acionistas e auditores. &ldquo;Os procedimentos definidos pelas normas de auditoria n&atilde;o t&ecirc;m por objetivo detectar fraude de tal complexidade&rdquo;, diz a nota da Deloitte.
