A tarefa de descartar documentos deve ser feita com cautela, j\u00e1 que muitos precisam ser arquivados por, pelo menos, cinco anos. \u00c9 o caso dos comprovantes de servi\u00e7os cont\u00ednuos, como \u00e1gua, luz, telefone, cart\u00e3o de cr\u00e9dito e escola, que podem ser substitu\u00eddos pela declara\u00e7\u00e3o anual de quita\u00e7\u00e3o. A declara\u00e7\u00e3o deve ser enviada pelas empresas at\u00e9 o m\u00eas de maio.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Segundo a advogada Helen Zanellato da Motta Ribeiro, que atua na \u00e1rea de Direito do Consumidor da Sociedade de Advogados Alceu Machado, Sperb &amp; Bonat Cordeiro, alguns documentos deveriam ser guardados por mais tempo at\u00e9 do que o previsto em lei. \u201cPor exemplo, os contratos com institui\u00e7\u00f5es de ensino costumam ser renovados anualmente e muitos consumidores acabam descartando o documento anterior. Por\u00e9m, o ideal \u00e9 guardar por, pelo menos, tr\u00eas anos. Assim, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel avaliar eventuais mudan\u00e7as no servi\u00e7o\u201d, recomenda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ela explica que comprovantes de pagamento de tributos, como IPTU, IPVA e Imposto de Renda (IR) devem ser arquivados por cincos anos.
