Na melhor das hip\u00f3teses, o aumento em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao ciclo 2016\/17 ser\u00e1 de 15,8%. Mesmo com uma queda da produtividade, em raz\u00e3o do clima menos favor\u00e1vel &#8211; prevista em 0,4% pela estatal, para 1.622 quilos por hectare &#8211; a produ\u00e7\u00e3o da pluma tende a chegar a entre 1,6 e 1,8 milh\u00e3o de toneladas, com incremento de at\u00e9 15,3%. Nesse contexto, a Conab projeta as exporta\u00e7\u00f5es brasileiras de algod\u00e3o em 850 mil toneladas em 2017\/18, maior volume desde 2011\/12.
