De acordo com a legisla\u00e7\u00e3o atual, apenas empresas de grande porte classificadas como sociedades an\u00f4nimas ou empresas de capital aberto t\u00eam a obriga\u00e7\u00e3o de publicar os balan\u00e7os financeiros. A divulga\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 opcional para sociedades limitadas e as demais empresas. O relator da proposta na CAE, senador Ricardo Ferra\u00e7o (PSDB-ES), explicou que a divulga\u00e7\u00e3o dos balan\u00e7os financeiros ser\u00e1 feita de forma resumida na imprensa oficial e em jornais de grande circula\u00e7\u00e3o, para evitar altos custos para as empresas. J\u00e1 a \u00edntegra das informa\u00e7\u00f5es dever\u00e1 ser divulgada no\u00a0<i>site<\/i>\u00a0da Comiss\u00e3o de Valores Mobili\u00e1rios (CVM). Como o projeto foi aprovado na comiss\u00e3o em forma de substitutivo, ainda dever\u00e1 passar por turno suplementar de vota\u00e7\u00e3o.
