A SEC e o Departamento de Justi\u00e7a dos Estados Unidos tamb\u00e9m est\u00e3o investigando o fornecimento de informa\u00e7\u00f5es privilegiadas para a venda de a\u00e7\u00f5es e a contabilidade da New Century Financial, uma empresa de concess\u00e3o de hipotecas que est\u00e1 em processo de fal\u00eancia.<br \/>Ontem, os bancos americanos Morgan Stanley e o Goldman Sachs apresentaram documentos regulat\u00f3rios informando que receberam requerimentos de informa\u00e7\u00f5es do governo e de ag\u00eancias regulat\u00f3rias relacionadas a empr\u00e9stimos subprime, mas as duas empresas n\u00e3o identificaram as ag\u00eancias que pediram a documenta\u00e7\u00e3o. Tamb\u00e9m evitaram comentar o assunto. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:arial;\">[&#8230;]<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:arial;\">Parte das investiga\u00e7\u00f5es da SEC est\u00e1 relacionada ao potencial uso de informa\u00e7\u00f5es privilegiadas, com foco nas baixas cont\u00e1beis mais amplas do que as projetadas e reveladas recentemente pelos bancos de Wall Street. A forma como as ag\u00eancias de avalia\u00e7\u00e3o de risco conferiram notas a esses ativos formados pelo empacotamento de hipotecas tamb\u00e9m faz parte do esfor\u00e7o, segundo o jornal norte-americano Financial Times.
