No Brasil houve apenas tr\u00eas IPOs, com a capta\u00e7\u00e3o total de US$ 366,45 milh\u00f5es, volume bastante modesto em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao mesmo per\u00edodo de 2007, quando dez companhias captaram US$ 3,76 bilh\u00f5es. No mundo, o n\u00famero de companhias que abriram capital foi semelhante nos dois per\u00edodos, de 25 companhias.
