Em \u00e9pocas de recess\u00e3o, a quantidade de estoques tende a aumentar; em fases de crescimento ou retomada, espera-se que o volume de estoques seja cada vez menor. <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family:arial;color:#000000;\"><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family:arial;color:#000000;\">P<\/span><span style=\"font-family:arial;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">or esta raz\u00e3o, acompanhar a quantidade de estoques que as empresas possuem passa a ser um exerc\u00edcio interessante de revis\u00e3o dos conceitos econ\u00f4micos. Em<\/span> <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/seekingalpha.com\/article\/120826-inventories-indicate-worsening-economy?source=feed\"><span style=\"font-family:arial;\">Inventories Indicate Worsening Economy<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-family:arial;\"> ,<span style=\"color:#000000;\"> Bill Conerly (17\/2\/2009) apresenta o seguinte gr\u00e1fico: <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:arial;color:#000000;\"><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family:arial;color:#000000;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 292px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 237px; CURSOR: hand\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_ngFwrJ1F2VM\/SZ2L5ar1epI\/AAAAAAAAFEg\/J-AG_cP0HhI\/s320\/figura1.JPG\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:arial;color:#000000;\">O gr\u00e1fico mostra, desde 1992, a rela\u00e7\u00e3o entre o volume de estoques e a quantidade de vendas. A linha de tend\u00eancia mostra claramente que a recess\u00e3o chegou nos Estados Unidos. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:arial;color:#000000;\"><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family:arial;color:#000000;\">Usando dados das empresas de capital aberto no Brasil, de 2002 at\u00e9 2007, tamb\u00e9m calculei a rela\u00e7\u00e3o entre estoques e vendas. Retirei da amostra o setor financeiro e as empresas com estoque zero ou com problemas nos dados. Usei as vendas trimestrais. O c\u00e1lculo foi realizado entre o primeiro trimestre de 2002 at\u00e9 o segundo trimestre de 2008. Maior \u00edndice significa excesso de estoque.
