Assim, em lugar de ser revogado pelos Pronunciamentos CPC 38, 39 e 40, o CPC 14 permaneceria como uma esp\u00e9cie de resumo das normas de instrumentos financeiros que seria acessado pelas entidades que utilizam os instrumentos financeiros mais simples e menos sofisticados. No caso de d\u00favidas ou qualquer outro esclarecimento durante a leitura do CPC 14, o usu\u00e1rio deveria se remeter ao texto integral dos pronunciamentos 38, 39, e 40. O objetivo com a manuten\u00e7\u00e3o desse Pronunciamento T\u00e9cnico CPC 14 \u00e9 oferecer \u00e0s entidades uma vers\u00e3o mais simples da norma sem, no entanto, entrar em qualquer discord\u00e2ncia com o texto integral dos outros Pronunciamentos. Em qualquer caso, nas opera\u00e7\u00f5es mais sofisticadas e na exist\u00eancia de d\u00favidas, prevalece o conte\u00fado dos Pronunciamentos T\u00e9cnicos 38, 39, 40 e eventuais outros a serem futuramente emitidos.<\/p>\n<p>Recentemente, o IASB tornou p\u00fablico o seu plano com rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 revis\u00e3o e simplifica\u00e7\u00e3o desse assunto e colocou em audi\u00eancia p\u00fablica a primeira proposta de modifica\u00e7\u00e3o, que afeta a classifica\u00e7\u00e3o e a mensura\u00e7\u00e3o desses instrumentos financeiros. Anunciou ainda que, em 2010, emitir\u00e1 dois outros documentos para tratar das perdas sobre tais instrumentos e da contabilidade de hedge.
