Embora j\u00e1 existem alguns \u2013 poucos \u2013 estudos sobre o gerenciamento de resultados nas escolhas cont\u00e1beis no contexto brasileiro, o gerenciamento de resultados por decis\u00f5es operacionais \u00e9 um tema ainda pouco explorado, e sobre o qual n\u00e3o existem pesquisa indicando como minimiz\u00e1-lo. Utilizando-se modelos pr\u00f3prios para inferir o gerenciamento de resultados por escolhas cont\u00e1beis e para o gerenciamento de resultados por decis\u00f5es operacionais, este trabalho investiga se as empresas que gerenciam resultados cont\u00e1beis por accruals discricion\u00e1rios, tamb\u00e9m adotam decis\u00f5es operacionais com o intuito de alterar os n\u00fameros cont\u00e1beis. As evid\u00eancias obtidas, numa amostra de empresas brasileiras, sugerem que o Novo Mercado e a Auditoria de Big4 reduzem o gerenciamento de resultados por escolhas cont\u00e1beis, assim como o Parecer com Ressalva \u00e9 um indicador de gerenciamento de resultados por escolhas cont\u00e1beis.
