O valor \u00e9 o triplo do que foi reconhecido em outubro pela matriz francesa, de R$ 400 milh\u00f5es. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><o:p><span style=\"font-family:arial;color:#000000;\"><\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:arial;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Em julho, a revela\u00e7\u00e3o de irregularidades nas contas da rede varejista no Brasil provocou a sa\u00edda do ent\u00e3o presidente, Jean Marc Pueyo, e de toda a diretoria. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><o:p><span style=\"font-family:arial;color:#000000;\"><\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:arial;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Tamb\u00e9m provocou o rompimento do contrato com a auditoria Deloitte, a mesma envolvida no esc\u00e2ndalo do banco PanAmericano. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><o:p><span style=\"font-family:arial;color:#000000;\"><\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:arial;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">A Deloitte foi respons\u00e1vel por auditar as contas do Carrefour nos cincos anos at\u00e9 2009. Auditou, portanto, as contas de toda a gest\u00e3o de Pueyo, que assumiu o cargo em 2006. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><o:p><span style=\"font-family:arial;color:#000000;\"><\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:arial;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">O preju\u00edzo total da empresa foi revelado ap\u00f3s a conclus\u00e3o das auditorias interna e externa realizadas pela KPMG, contratada ap\u00f3s a demiss\u00e3o de Pueyo. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><o:p><span style=\"font-family:arial;color:#000000;\"><\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:arial;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Em entrevista a analistas ontem na Fran\u00e7a, o presidente mundial do Carrefour, Lars Olofsson, afirmou que o valor se refere a problemas apurados &#8220;nos \u00faltimos cinco anos ou mais&#8221;. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><o:p><span style=\"font-family:arial;color:#000000;\"><\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:arial;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Em nota, o Carrefour diz que as perdas, que ser\u00e3o incorporadas como despesas n\u00e3o recorrentes em 2010, envolvem itens como ajustes de deprecia\u00e7\u00e3o e provis\u00f5es ligadas a lit\u00edgios trabalhistas. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><o:p><span style=\"font-family:arial;color:#000000;\"><\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:arial;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">A Folha apurou que a maquiagem no balan\u00e7o da rede varejista decorre de uma pr\u00e1tica considerada comum no varejo brasileiro no passado, mas que n\u00e3o combina com as regras de governan\u00e7a. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><o:p><span style=\"font-family:arial;color:#000000;\"><\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:arial;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Trata-se de descontar, das despesas, bonifica\u00e7\u00f5es negociadas com a ind\u00fastria na compra de produtos. Mas nem sempre os descontos se materializam, e o balan\u00e7o registra como despesa um valor inferior ao gasto. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><o:p><span style=\"font-family:arial;color:#000000;\"><\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:arial;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">A mesma pr\u00e1tica teria provocado a sa\u00edda do presidente do Walmart Brasil, Hector Nu\u00f1ez, tamb\u00e9m neste ano. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><o:p><span style=\"font-family:arial;color:#000000;\"><\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:arial;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Procurada, a Deloitte nega irregularidades nas contas do Carrefour. &#8220;Se o problema fosse relativo a anos passados, eles n\u00e3o seriam contabilizados em 2010, mas seria necess\u00e1rio refazer os balan\u00e7os anteriores&#8221;, diz Maur\u00edcio Resende, s\u00f3cio da auditoria. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><o:p><span style=\"font-family:arial;color:#000000;\"><\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:arial;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Ele diz que tanto a Deloitte quanto a KPMG auditam contas do Carrefour globalmente e que sua substitui\u00e7\u00e3o pela KPMG no pa\u00eds faz parte um rod\u00edzio determinado pelo cliente. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><o:p><span style=\"font-family:arial;color:#000000;\"><\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:arial;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">O Carrefour ressalta que h\u00e1 investiga\u00e7\u00f5es em curso &#8220;que permitir\u00e3o determinar a exist\u00eancia de poss\u00edveis responsabilidades&#8221;.
