\tO livro é uma publicação do Núcleo de Pesquisas em Economia do Setor Público – NUPESP, vinculado à Universidade de Pernambuco – UPE.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

\tApresentação da obra pelos autores:<\/strong> O objetivo geral do Vocabulário é fornecer aos leigos e a todos os segmentos da sociedade voltados para as questões tributárias (administradores públicos, empresários, jornalistas, professores, estudantes, profissionais liberais de diversas formações, etc.) um instrumento de fácil consulta sobre a terminologia adotada na legislação e na administração tributárias, como também nos diversos fóruns de discussão sobre a reforma tributária e sobre o federalismo. Os objetivos específicos são: reunir em único livro a terminologia, relativa à tributação no Brasil, esparsa em inúmeras fontes de consulta; atualizar os instrumentos de consulta existentes tendo em vista o debate sobre as principais alternativas da reforma tributária; produzir um vocabulário de termos básicos usados na literatura sobre tributos; e ser fonte de informação simples e sintética sobre esse tema. E, como objetivo mais ambicioso, o projeto do Vocabulário pretende colaborar para a compreensão de matéria tão importante no cenário brasileiro, a tributação nacional. Como pretensão maior, intenciona contribuir para a compreensão, por parte dos cidadãos comuns, das políticas tributárias que tanto podem alterar a história de uma nação, quanto o cotidiano de seus cidadãos. Registre-se que os autores desconhecem, no mercado editorial, título semelhante à disposição dos leitores. Nesta primeira edição, constam os verbetes selecionados como prioritários dentre um conjunto significativamente maior, já identificado pelos autores, a serem objeto de futuras edições.<\/span><\/div>\n
