Em seu artigo O problema do custo social, Coase, que ganharia o pr&ecirc;mio Nobel de Economia em 1992, analisava a forma de consumo de recursos como ar, &aacute;gua ou energia para permitir as melhores decis&otilde;es sobre seu uso. Ele repensava a maneira de dar pre&ccedil;o a esses bens, para que sua disponibilidade fosse garantida a longo prazo.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"> \t&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"> \t<span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Recentemente, ideias como as do economista come&ccedil;aram a ser colocadas em pr&aacute;tica na gest&atilde;o dos recursos naturais. &Eacute; o que acontece desde os anos 2000 no mercado de compra e venda de cr&eacute;ditos de carbono, que regula a emiss&atilde;o de poluentes dos pa&iacute;ses &mdash; em outras palavras, gerencia o ar. E tamb&eacute;m &eacute; o que vem sendo feito em alguns lugares para guiar o uso de um dos bens mais fundamentais para a manuten&ccedil;&atilde;o da vida: a &aacute;gua.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"> \t <!--more-->  <\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"> \t<span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Em termos concretos, isso significa colocar um pre&ccedil;o na &aacute;gua e fazer com que ele demonstre quando ela &eacute; escassa ou abundante.
