\tEscrevi, há anos, um texto introdutório de contabilidade. Minhas opções pedagógicas foram basea<\/span>das no que estava sendo ensinado em outros países, principalmente os Estados Unidos. A razão disto era que os livros brasileiros de então estavam defasados em termos de metodologia e conteúdo. Durante os anos seguintes, quando usei o livro Contabilidade Básica em sala de aula, esta impressão foi cada vez mais reforçada: somos responsáveis pelo ódio que as pessoas possuem da contabilidade por termos uma abordagem de ensino defasada e inapropriada. Os estudantes acham a contabilidade complicada demais, sem sentido com as coisas práticas, baseadas em regras sem fundamento, entre outros aspectos negativos.<\/span><\/p>\n

\tO método de ensino das partidas dobradas deveria ser escolhido a partir de experiências realizadas nas instituições de ensino. Situações típicas relacionadas à forma de ensinar (como: devemos mostrar os efeitos na equação contábil dos lançamentos; as primeiras transações contábeis devem incluir os efeitos sobre o resultado e como isto deveria ser mostrado) têm sido objeto de pesquisa. Geralmente os pesquisadores confrontam duas possibilidades, com aplicação de verificação de aprendizagem aos grupos de estudantes que tiveram acesso aos métodos distintos. O resultado dos testes é determinante para a escolha de qual método é melhor para fazer com que os conhecimentos contábeis sejam absorvidos pelos alunos.<\/p>\n

\tIsto é muito diferente do que ocorre no Brasil, onde os professores escolhem as obras didáticas pelo fato de terem estudados naqueles livros. Nunca pelo fato de serem os melhores livros para ensinar contabilidade.<\/p>\n
