\tPara especialista italiano adoção não significa necessariamente imunidade a fraudes<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tSó 20% das empresas européias adotam novas normas contábeis, o IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), afirmou o especialista da área contábil da Universidade de Parma na Itália, Andrea Cilloni em palestra na Trevisan Escola de Negócios. De acordo com o professor, a baixa adesão ao IFRS se deve pelo fato de que na Europa as pequenas e médias, que representam 65% da economia, entendem que não precisam desse enquadramento.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\t <\/p>\n

\t“O padrão internacional deve ser aplicado apenas se o objetivo for reduzir o custo de capital para o investidor, o que se aplica em geral para as grandes empresas de capital aberto; de outra forma, seria apenas um custo desnecessário”, disse.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\t <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tInfluências políticas<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tPara Cilloni, o que tem acontecido nos países é uma adaptação das normas internacionais para os princípios locais, e não uma adoção pura e simples. “O único país que adotou de fato os IFRS como foram desenvolvidos em Londres foi a África do Sul”.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\t <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tAlém disso, o professor italiano demonstrou as fortes influências políticas que afetam a sua aplicação, em detrimento de conceitos estritamente técnicos. “Tem mais a ver com uma disputa de poder entre Europa e Estados Unidos do que exatamente um padrão de excelência técnica dos princípios contábeis”, afirmou.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\t <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\tFraudes<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\t“A SEC (Security and Exchange Comission – órgão regulador do mercado de capitais nos EUA) até hoje aceita os princípios contábeis locais”. Cilloni explicou que a adoção dos IFRS não significa necessariamente que a empresa estará mais imune a fraudes.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\t <\/p>\n

\t“A Parmalat, por exemplo, foi a primeira companhia a utilizar na totalidade o padrão internacional, e isso não impediu a sua derrocada por conta de fraudes contábeis”.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
